At Abigail Stoneman, we're pleased to feature an exclusive, complimentary Tea Menu of single estate teas and premium, artisanal blends of the best Black, Green, White, Oolong and Botanical Teas. From Classics steeped in tradition, like English Breakfast or Earl Grey (served 4 ways), to New Classics with organic Green and White Teas, to Exotic Teas enjoyed through the ages by Chinese emperors, and still harvested today, from the same gardens more than a 1,000 years later.
You will enjoy a mix of East and West, served English and Asian styles, as either part of our Legendary Newport Afternoon Tea service or served as our private "anytime" tea (with scones, Devonshire creme, and curds). Our afternoon high tea features a seasonal menu with an array of finger sandwiches, scones with Devonshire creme, handmade English curds and marmalades, cookies, cakes, and other savories and sweets.
While all teas -- except Herbal Botanicals -- come from the same tea plant, it is the processing and amount of oxidation that makes the tea Green, White, Brown (Oolong) or Black. And it is where the teas are grown that gives them their unique aromas and flavors.
